Eerie new details have emerged weeks after decomposed body parts were found inside a suitcase on a train in Agra. CCTV visuals have led the police to a house in Chennai that held the secrets behind the chilling incident.
The police have now identified the body parts as that of Hayuthan Nisha, a 38-year-old native of Odisha. She was killed and her body was chopped by two suspects the cops have found.
On August 5, the train had left Chennai Central for New Delhi. At Agra Railway Station, police were alerted after passengers noticed a foul smell emanating from a suitcase. As railway police opened the suitcase, they found decomposed human body parts.
An investigation began soon.
While examining CCTV footage, Agra Railway Police found two suspects and informed Chennai Central Railway Police. Based on the footage, Chennai Central Railway Police found two suspects with a similar trolley boarding the train.
The suspects were identified as Manik Uddin Laskar and Bhagabati Majhi. The local police then traced their house in Chennai’s Guduvancheri.
When the house was searched, they allegedly found more decomposed body parts in a cooking vessel.
“We are enquiring. Once we catch the two suspects, we will get to know the motive of the murder. The two suspects are on the run. Based on scientific evidence, it will be clear whether the body parts belong to the same person,” a police official told NDTV.
Based on the victim’s son’s complaint, police have registered a missing person complaint case, and further investigation is underway.
